I am NOT an apologist for the true path and hope never to
be politically correct.
Puritan - Christian? Please Do Not
confuse the two. Today's Puritans / Legalist / Christian and
Baptist Heretics
have carried the Christian label since their inception. However...,
Today's Puritan Is Not The Same Thing As A Christian! A Christian is a
sinner, saved through God's Grace in Christ, "trying" to follow in Jesus
footsteps as best he or she is capable. A Puritan teaches that if you
do things his or her way you will be perfect just like them. I do not
like nor have tolerance for Puritans / Legalist / Christian
Heretics. These modern day Pharisees have abused and dishonored the name,
"Christian".
Christian this, Christian that, our Christian school, better not do
that people might think we are not Christians, people do not seem to
like us when we talk about Christ, bla, bla, bla dogma. They give me
such nausea. Their dogma conversations about Christ and how
perfect they are, are not the examples
Christ gave in his life. Many hearts mean well but they are
following blind leadership and with their heads in the sand, or up their
butt.
Every second of our life, good and bad, that is our witness. A good
and true witness for Christ understands the Great Commission and the
examples Christ supplied. This witness allows people they meet to tell
about themselves and allows that person the opportunity to "get to know",
and hopefully appreciate you.
A good and true Stand-Up Christian Does Not Go Around beating people over
the head, force witnessing, ("claiming" the work of the Holy Spirit),
which creates the potential for a hardened heart, and running most away from
the desperately needed gospel of Christ.
A good and true Stand-Up Christian Does pay attention to the Holy Spirit
and His desires, (A process that comes with prayer, study, time, and
experience), and makes a verbal witness only when the Holy Spirit
opens a door.
In the New Testament examples of the witness program of Jesus, ALL doors
were opened by the person seeking Christ. Christ never beat anyone
over the head to hear him and never used clever in-lines to flank anyone.
When you force witness to people they will tell you anything to get away
from you and usually run away with resentment and a hardening heart.
It is my opinion that greater than 90% of those in Church today would not
know the Holy Spirit if He came and bit them on their big overweight butt.
My opinion is supported by:
- The annual number of Church openings verses the annual number of Church
closings for decades
- The continual reduction of the knowledge by the mass population of the
teachings of Christ
- Power church's requiring individuals in their community who come asking
for help to acknowledge Christ and become a member of that church Before
supplying any help to that one in need.
- While at the same time giving great gifts between themselves inside
their selective country club.
- Then others split off and create their own private little religious
club.
- The cult like mentality they continue to develop using people who are
followers and not leaders, turning them first into prudes and then into
Puritans, Legalist, Christian Heretics.
- They jump on movies that show any flesh and stand beside actors who
portray hero's in the slaughter and mayhem of others.
- Focus on any movies that show "fornication". "sex", and "skin" claiming
these as the downfall of our nation.
- Ignore all movies, video games, and real life that show murder, assault,
mayhem, bullies unless referencing them with a "manly" pride.
- Some just do not know any better. They have been programmed.
- The massive number of church splits. It looks like their are
really more people going to church but in reality none of these Puritans / Legalist / Christian
and Baptist Heretics, Pharisees, (all disgusting people) can get
along with each other.
- The increasing contempt, nationally and world wide, for anything that
references Jesus Christ or Christian
In Christ's "Great Commission" He told His followers to go out and tell
the world. Then Christ gave them His examples of telling the world in
the books of the apostles. Christ listened to people with care and
healed their needs. None of these examples included building single
power house churches or beating people over the head.
I have heard many a pastor and his board of deacons make comments that
the pastor has to "surround" himself with the "right" people. I
remember that in the Bible the Pharisees also had this practice. I've
got it, Let's train our blind congregation of followers into a cult!
Also on a regular basis I hear comments coming from other tables in
different restaurants including, "Our church must be run like a business to
succeed". I've got it, Let's train our blind congregation of followers
into a cult!
In the Bible Christ lived, ate, and socialized among the people, the
lowly "sinners". Christ lived among everyone from those labeled as
*half breeds, to those who told little white lies, big lies, the addicted,
divorcees, prostitutes, thieves, and murders, basically, all those listed in
the book of Romans chapter 1. He never condoned any actions of sin but
He healed them, feed them, and then
offered them the opportunity to live out their eternal life with Him in
Heaven, if they would Believe in Him and Follow Him.
*Note: The term "Half breed" does not imply sinner. Example: The
Samaritan woman at the well; Samaritans were half breeds, outcast and
shunned by both the Egyptians and Jews.
In the Bible the Pharisees, Legalist, and Money Changers are the only
ones who ever brought Christ to great anger. Christ did not
socialize with or live among the Pharisees, Legalist, or Money Changers.
Christ tells us to give praise in ALL things, good or bad.
But, If you are going through a dark place in your life, have been
attacked by the devil, or something else, and the people inside the church
you are attending, or someone you have confided, only offers you comfort in
passing comments like, "Isn't God good?, Find another Church and or friends!
Most people do not need therapy, they need friends just to talk to who
will listen. And after a while, if the friends tell you to shut up,
listen. Lift your chin, spread your chest, and get on with life.
