Our previous battery rebuild vendor is missing!

We have issues with the product we purchased from our previous battery rebuild vendor.

Five quick "Caveat Emptor" examples of what we hear from new clients and then a link to amateur examples:

1. We recently purchased product from another battery vendor that called us with what sounded like a great deal.  We are now having problems with their product but cannot find them.  Ladies and Gents, we have recelled packs they have previously recelled.  Ouch.

2. A new company recently called and introduced themselves to us and were asking for our business.  They are a new company but they say they have several years experience in the industry. 

   1. Why did they close the other times?  We know.  We are not excited about it but we have recelled packs they have previously recelled or built new. 

3. In September 2006 a peachy lady calls here  asking for employment, wanting to work out of her house in another Southern city and state. She stated that she and her other lady partner, of a few months, had a cat fight in 05 or earlier in 06, and split what was left of a company they inherited from the deceased owner.  (He had been in business for twenty years and we at REI would not do business with him.) 

   1. She stated that she and her x-partner are now fighting over who gets the company name of the dead owner it was inherited from.  The individual claims over 20 years in business.  I guess so, if you include the years in the dress shop.  So she is now sourcing sub-contractors for batteries, or was it dresses?.

   2. Why did they close the other times?  We know.  We are not excited about it but we have recelled packs they have previously recelled or built new. 

4. A company called, introduced themselves to us and said they had many consecutive years in business.

   1. In our Webster's dictionary consecutive means continual.  We cannot find in Webster's dictionary where consecutive means: Closed, sold, closed, re-opened.  We know their work first hand and will never use them for overflow assembly sub-contracting.

5. The retail battery vendor, the franchise guys.  They have a few retail locations across the country and are known to use mostly third world or a few brand name, consumer grade, very low end cells.  We have recelled packs they have previously recelled.  Oh, we won't even go into that discussion.

6. Another is late 2007 BRAND NEW with a background in rebuilding laptop batteries.  Our long term take on rebuilding certain batteries including laptop batteries is at: Laptop Batteries

   1. Bait price but when you call the price is very different.

   2. Using VERY low end Chinese cells or hundreds of other off brand cells, LG, Toshiba,  etc.

   3. Rebuild battery packs that should NEVER be rebuilt which gives rebuilding a bad name

   4. Misleading marketing, hook and get the order this time, not expecting repeat business.

To us the above vendors mean nothing positive and are toxic.

Consider:
